Large cross-border capital flows

Pangea advising on 43% cross-border deals since 2010.

In recent years, international investors have shown an increasing interest for the Nordic property market. Pangea has followed that trend and 43% of our executed transactions have been cross-border since 2010. It is both buy-side and sell-side mandates including large investors such as Starwood, Blackstone, Union, Tristan, CBRE, Round Hill and WP Carey, plus many pan-Nordic investors. Our most recent cross-border deal is Starwood and Swedish residential developer Oscar Properties teaming up for the acquisition and development of Primus 1 in central Stockholm.

Since 2015, Pangea is established with a representative office in London.

ALNA senter sold for NOK 2bn

Aspelin Ramm sells ALNA senter to Joh Johannson Eiendom AS for about NOK 2bn (EUR 215m). The large retail centre is located at Alnabru, some 10 minutes from Oslo city, and comprises about 70,000 sqm and 1,100 parking spaces. The centre is the third largest in Oslo with an annual turnover of NOK 2bn (EUR 215m) and nearly 5 million visitors in 2017.

Starwood completes public bid on Victoria Park

Starwood Capital Group (through its wholly owned subsidiary HomeStar InvestCo) has announced that shareholders representing 24.4% of the shares and 32.1% of the votes in Victoria Park have accepted the public cash offer presented in the beginning of April. Pangea Property Partners has been financial and M&A advisor to Starwood in the transaction.

Shopping centre deal in Norway

Citycon sells Heiane Storsenter in Norway to the regional investor Midgard Gruppen for approximately EUR 24m. The shopping centre is located in Stord, in the western part of Norway, and has approximately 1.2 million visitors every year. Pangea Property Partners was sell-side adviser to Citycon in the transaction.

Large resi deal in Sweden

Slättö IV sells a newly built Swedish residential portfolio in two separate tranches for almost SEK 1.6bn. The buyers are Trenum (owned by Balder and AP3) acquiring 372 apartments in Stockholm and Västerås and Lansa Fastigheter acquiring 295 apartments in Karlstad and Umeå. The total area is close to 38,000 sqm giving an average price of approximately SEK 43,000 SEK/sqm.
